  When COVID came and the world  locked down , The initial days were boring. The casual hangouts were missing As things were far from restoring. I missed my jolly college days, The fun-filled chillings and talks The soothing breeze every afternoon With gentle aimless walks The rush for mess, the dunk fights That made our days vibrant The howling rooms of the hostels Have then all gone silent. A month passed, then two The cases were on the rise To stay at home and take good care Were advised by the wise. But bored we got, sitting alone With nothing much to do But solitude was the tonic then, The bane became a boon.   When the skies turned dark When the storms came close. When you lost your last ray of hope. When the world turned away, Your dearest left you And the people whom you trusted, Betrayed you. When the stress held you back When hurdles startled you When failures caused you pains Tears rolled past your cheeks And anxiety swallowed you. You had none by your side When you were being tossed By the time's ruthless tides. Your love was taking you easy Your friends were all away and busy When you had responsibilities to take And help you to make Yourself. Then, I held your hands.   FORGET Tell me a way to forget you. A way to undo all the thoughts I had for you, All the nights I was awake thinking about you. Tell me a place on the earth,  Where I can be free from your memories Your presence in my mind. A place where your sweet words won't echo Right into my ears and exfoliate The tougher me, and expose my softer side. Tell me, how can I forget those golden moments together, Spent without any knowledge of the passing time. Tell me, how can I unhear your charming voice And unacknowledge our friendship so far. Tell me how can I laugh with you being not near, To envision my joy. I know I owe you nothing,  But I don't know what keeps me bound to you. I even know our paths will never be the same Parallels are never meant to meet. Tell me the way to put a dam on my tears When your face reverberates across the strings of my heart. Tell me a way...   THE POEM OF A LEDGER You may love currencies, I love the codes. You may gain lots of money I gain, some scores. You may fade off from the scheme Deny what you got I am but a record keeper, And I know your accord. You may spend some millions To please your family and wife, I know which hashes worked Blocks are but my life. World banks fall, economies crash, People blame “Oh, the system is trash”, Deep down we know the struggle, To keep safe, your lovely cash.   THE LAST LAP Life has taken a toll Since I was born Cheerful, I tried to be From inside I was torn. My emotions were challenged Every now and then Everyone left me, crying alone in the rain.
